Jak Roberto explained why he and his girlfriend, Barbie Forteza decided not to walk together on the red carpet at the GMA Gala.
In an interview with Emil Sumangil, Jak clarified that it was a mutual decision between him and Barbie to become ‘dateless’ during the special event.
“Nag-usap kami na kailangan solo-solo kami na dumaan sa red carpet para mas ma-emphasize ‘yung damit at makapag thank you sa designers, mas may spot kumbaga,” he explained.
It can be recalled that several ‘BarJak’ fans expressed concern that the actor was abandoned by his own girlfriend during the Gala to avoid disappointing the fans of Barbie and her love team David Licauco.
However, several photos showed that David and Barbie enjoyed the night together.
Jak even became a subject of a meme, calling the actor ‘immune to jealousy.’
Some also praised Jak for being supportive of his girlfriend, who’s now enjoying fame after her love team with David became popular.
