A netizen tried to prove that the former Dabarkads, who left Eat Bulaga on May 31, 2023, might quickly surpass their former noontime show when it comes to social media engagement.
In a Facebook post, Boss Dhuuks watched the live stream of Eat Bulaga and the Dabarkads at the same time to prove who would win on social media presence.
Despite having no show yet, the Dabarkads who are using the Facebook page ‘TVJ’ were already getting 14,000 live viewers compared to the ‘revamped’ Eat Bulaga’s 1,000.
Dhuuks described the social media popularity of the rebranded noontime show as ‘nilangaw’.
Meanwhile, netizens are expecting that most watchers of Eat Bulaga may switch channels already on July 1 to watch the new show of the Dabarkads being led by Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon on TV5.
“Lalo na sa July 1 for sure wala na viewers ang generic Eat Bulaga,” netizen Verna said.
Netizens even urged TAPE Inc. to change the title of their show and let the original Dabarkads use Eat Bulaga trademark.
“Kung talagang magaling ang host gawa cla ng sarili nilang pangalan ng show hindi ung makikisawsaw nlng po ung nakibahay ka tapos ikaw pa ang magaling nakakahiya kaya un,bakit c vice ganda napasikat nya ung showtime di nila ginamit ung wowowina show Sana ganundin ang ginawa nila Ika andun ung respeto sa host kaya nga bilib din ako Kay vice Ganda KC hindi sya nakibahay gumawa cla ng sarili nilang pangalan d kahit anong gawin nila sa show magagawa nila KC sa kanila un eh,kàysa nmn ung nakikitulog ka na nga ikaw pa ang maingay nasaan ung hustisya nyan,” netizen Felix said.
