Model and actor Luis Hontiveros went viral on social media in the past few days after his performance during an event in Pagadian City on June 19, 2023.
In the said video that gained millions of views on social media, Luis can be shown performing ‘Jopay’ during the Miss Pagadian 2023.
However, netizens criticized the performance of Luis and even accused the actor of being under the influence because of her poor singing.
Some even called out Pagadian City Government for wasting their public funds to hire Luis.
Luis in a Facebook post denied that he was under the influence during the said performance and even called his critics ‘jealous’.
He even showed the cheering he gained from Pagadian City officials.
“Para sa inyo to mga Ka-Jopay na sobrang gigil sa akin at nagsasabing lasing ako at sayang daw ibinayad ng Pagadian City, hahaha!” he said.
“Si Mayor Sammy Co and his family mismo ang nag-cheer niyan. maka-react kayo, akala nyo kasali kyo sa live event namin hahaha. Inggit pikit.” he added.
The actor also said that he’s not forcing the netizens to watch him.
“Di naman kayo pinilit na manood pero honestly guys, to all my bashers, thank you so much for this! You guys are the best!” he stated.
However, netizens couldn’t stop themselves from watching the said performance that already gained hundreds of thousands of reactions online.
