According to the report by Bilyonaryo, GMA plans. It’s Showtime to become their noontime show on another channel they own, GTV.

Jo-Ann Maglipon, the editor of PEP, also hinted about the possible move by GMA.

It can be recalled that it was already rumored that TV5 planned to replace Its Showtime with the new show formed by former Eat Bulaga hosts Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon.

If this happened, Its showtime might be transferred to the nighttime slot, ending its decades of being a noontime show.

However, some fans of Showtime opposed the rumored plan by TV5, urging the host not to agree with the demands made by the network.

According to some people who followed the issue, GMA’s CEO, Felipe Gozon wanted to prevent TV5 to get a ratings boost by having the two former rivals, Eat Bulaga and It’s Showtime on the same channel.

It’s not yet known if It’s Showtime would stay at TV5, or would insist to remain a noontime show by transferring to GMA.
