Jose Manalo and Wally Bayola reportedly refused much money from TAPE Inc. in exchange for not following Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon in their decision to leave Eat Bulaga.
In her online program, Cristy Fermin revealed that Jose and Wally have been offered P2-M each in exchange for staying on Eat Bulaga.
However, the two reportedly refused the offer, maintaining their loyalty to TVJ.
Jose and Wally have been considered the successor of TVJ for carrying the show sometimes because of their funny personalities.
“May tumawag po kay Jose at Wally na huwag sumama sa Tito, Vic at Joey. At agaran daw po, padadalhan sila ng tsekeng tig-P2 million,” Cristy said.
“Hindi po nila pinatulan ‘yung two million pesos…iyon na nga po isang grupo ang Dabarkads sumama sa Tito, Vic at Joey,” she added.
She also said that Jose and Wally didn’t receive their salary on time which might also contribute to their decision to leave the show.
“Napakabait ng dalawang ito. Wala ngang maririnig, walang reklamo. Nasu-show, bigay na bigay ang isang daang porsiyento, hindi pala sila sumusweldo,” she stated.
As of writing, TAPE has yet to give any statement about the report made by Cristy who became one of the first columnists to reveal that Eat Bulaga issue.
