After many years, two boxing legends, Manny Pacquiao and Mike Tyson met again during the match between Ryan Garcia and Tank Davis.
On April 23, 2023, the two can be seen having a photo op together and Tyson can be seen as very friendly with the Filipino boxing champ.
Boxing fans thought Tyson and Pacquiao would never meet again after Pacman’s comment against the LGBT community, comparing them to animals.
It can be remembered that in 2016, Pacquiao made a controversial remark about his belief about the members of the LGBT, saying that they’re ‘worse’ than animals, claiming that other species were not having relationships with their same gender.
“Ginawa ang babae para sa lalaki. Ginawa ang lalaki para sa babae. Common sense lang. Makakita ka ba ng any animals na lalaki sa lalaki o babae sa babae? Mas mabuti pa ‘yong hayop. Marunong kumilala kung lalaki ang lalaki o babae kung babae.” Pacquiao said.
“Ngayon, kung lalaki sa lalaki o babae sa babae eh mas masahol pa sa hayop ang tao,” he added.
Pacquiao’s remark has been criticized by millions of people worldwide including Tyson.
He said that Pacquiao was “totally disrespectful of other people’s feelings,” and should be banned from entering a popular mall in Los Angeles, California.
