Actor Dindo Arroyo shared his experiences with the ‘King of Philippine Movies’ Fernando Poe Jr.
In an interview with Rhy TV Official, Dindo shared that the late actor and director were known for ‘handpicking’ his talents and ready to shell out any amount to get them.
He also shared his experience with FPJ when he was asked by the latter to become part of his movie.
“Tapos tatawagin ako [na] walang award, walang napapatunayan, I’m just making pang 20 or 30 movies palang pero hindi parin ako ganoon [kasikat] para kunin,” he added.
According to him, FPJ really wanted him to become part of his movie, so the legendary actor asked Dindo about his talent fee.
“Kaya daw mahal ka daw eh,” FPJ said according to Dindo. “So kinuha ko ‘yung beer, nag toast kami.
Dindo became part of some movies made by FPJ, including ‘Ang Probinsyano’ in 1997.
He also appeared in the remake of the said movie, led by Coco Martin, from 2016 to 2017.
