A teacher from Imus, Cavite went viral on social media after posting a photo during his second classroom observation (CO) in a school in the said city.
In his Facebook post, Jay-ar Coronel shared some of his photos that gained thousands of reactions and shares from the netizens.
“Done with my 2nd COT #blessedandgrateful #DepEdCALABARZON” he wrote.
Teacher Coronel who’s also working as a model and winner of Mr. Deped Imus received praise from the netizens because of his look.
Some even joked that they wanted to attend the class by the teacher.
“Ang sarap mo sir,” netizen Melai said.
“Sir, wala po akong homework. Can I stay after class? I will make up for it.” netizen Blu commented.
“Hi sir, the design is very yummy,” netizen Janeth remarked.
However, while most netizens praised the teacher, some people working at the Department of Education (DepEd) tried to correct the term used by Coronel.
According to teacher Ana Marie, Coronel should use the term ‘Classroom Observation’ instead of ‘COT’.
“2nd Classroom Observation (CO) ✅ Classroom Observation Tool (COT) was used to rate your performance. Congratulations sir,” she said.
This is what content creator ‘Teacher Nathan’ also said in his post.
“COMMON MISUSED TERMS! ‼️ PLEASE avoid using COT in your post while having your observation or after being observed.
“It should be Classroom Observation (CO) ✅ while Classroom Observation Tool (COT) was used to rate your performance/TL process. So, “COT done” in your post is ❌” he said.
As of writing, Coronel’s post already received 23,000 shares.
