A single mom called out her former partner publicly and accused him of not giving any support to their child.
In a Facebook post, Veronica Magpayo posted a black and white photo of her former partner identified as Roniel Adrian Cruz.
Magpayo clarified that Cruz didn’t pass away and she only posted it to remind the netizens not to be like her ex.
“Unahan kona kayo di ako bitter karapatan lang ng anak ko dahil matagal akong nanahimik, “anak mo naman yan bat dikanalang mag work para dika mukang kawawa” na provide ko lahat sa anak ko.” Magpayo said.
“Wag nyo itolerate ung lalaki tumatakbo sa resposibilidad. Nasasabi nyo yan kasi wala kayo sa sitwasyon. Matutuwa kabang pa coolkid sa fb? Buhay binata? Luho ng jowa nabibigay? Sa anak kahit zesto wala,” she added.
The post reached thousands of shares online and it already gained comments from the netizens.
According to the law, the father of a child should support their children or else they would face charges.
The Article 195 of the Family Code stresses that parents are legally required to support their children.
Even former Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Sec. Erwin Tulfo already warned the parents not supporting their child.
“Pwede po kayong lumapit sa amin sa DSWD, kung may mga tatay na ayaw magsustento sa mga anak nila, provided na yung tatay ay may trabaho o may kinikita. Susulatan po namin, magdedemand kami na sustentuhan niya yung anak niya. Otherwise, ipapasa po namin ito sa korte, bahala na po ang Public Attorney’s Office (PAO). Tutulungan din po natin na ilapit sa IBP para magsampa ng kaso,” Tulfo said.
