Former Eat Bulaga host Anjo Yllana gave his thoughts about the rumored internal issue happening among the executives of the longest-running noontime show in the Philippines.
In an interview, Anjo said that the possible rebranding of Eat Bulaga under the Jalosjos family was ‘unfortunate’.
According to the comedian, the legendary trio and foundation of Eat Bulaga, Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon popularly known as TVJ only wanted to see the 50th anniversary of the noontime show.
“Ang tagal na eh, 43 years.” said Anjo. “Parang ang wish lang naman ng TVJ ay umabot sila ng 50, yun ang kanilang goal,”
“Siguro pag dating nila ng 50 hindi na nila igo-goal ‘yung 100,” he added.
If ever the rebranding was true, Anjo said that reaching 43 years was still a ‘big blessing’ to the people behind Eat Bulaga.
“Sobrang daming blessing na ‘non na binigay sa lahat ng involved ng Eat Bulaga.” he said.
“Unfortunate, nagkakagulo ngayon. Sad at the same time, sana maayos pa nila kung maayos, at kung maghihiwalay naman sila, sana maging successful parin sila kung dalawang Eat Bulaga na sila,” he added.
It can be recalled that several publications reported that TVJ planned to create their own show ‘Dabarkads’ to match the rebranded version of Eat Bulaga if ever the rumors were true.
