Romeo Jalosjos daughter Soraya, rumored replace Maine Mendoza in Eat Bulaga

Despite the statement from television hosts Tito Sotto and Joey de Leon, it seems that the rumors about the internal issue of Eat Bulaga have yet to end.

In a report by Abante, Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE Inc.) founder Romeo Jalosjos’ daughter Soraya might become one of the newest hosts of Eat Bulaga if ever that the ‘rebranding’ of the longest noontime show continues.

According to the report, Soraya is rumored to replace Maine Mendoza as host if the takeover of the Jalosjos family succeeds.

Fans of Maine couldn’t hide their disappointment over the rumors, saying that the host was one of the assets of the noontime show.

In her LinkedIn, Soraya was the Vice President Administration of Tape Inc. and also the former Executive Producer of Eat Bulaga for four months.

She is also knowledgeable in scriptwriting, stage direction, and theater.

The show’s current hosts, including Sotto, already expressed support to the founding producer of Eat Bulaga, Tony Tuviera, who allegedly wanted by Jalosjos to be ousted.

TVJ’s performance last Saturday, where the trio sang the theme song of Eat Bulaga, was interpreted by some netizens as a show of force against Tape Inc.

Sotto also said that Eat Bulaga team was doing a great job and the production should not be changed.

“Keep up the good work! Walang dapat baguhin sa production ng Eat Bulaga,” Sotto said.

It was reported that the current hosts of Eat Bulaga treated each other as family, and if ever the TVJ leaves, they would also resign from the show.

Tape Inc. was also expected to release an official statement about the rumors in the upcoming days.
