Mocha Girls manager Byron Cristobal, also known as ‘Banat By,’ responded to the statement of Ogie Diaz about the 14-minute vlog of Liza Soberano.
It can be remembered that Ogie, the former talent manager of Liza, responded to the actress’ complaints that she didn’t have a chance to share her ideas during her career in the Philippines.
“Kung sinasabi ni Liza na kino-kontrol siya ng mga taong NASA paligid niya, kung ako man yan at ang Star Magic, gusto kong magpasalamat kay Liza kasi sinunod niya kami. Kaya siguro sumikat siya,” Ogie said.
“Anak, lagi kang binibgyan ng chance to say your piece, your opnion, your suggestions. Pinapakinggan ka din naman pag may complaints, pero di ba kung minsan we have to meet halfway? Pakikisama ang tawag doon doon anak, pagtatanim para in the future may aanihin,” he added.
However, while Byron wanted to side with Ogie because they’re both talent managers, the former said that the latter should not treat his talents as robots.
“As a manager gusto ko na sanang kampihan itong si Ogie. Totoo naman ang ibang sinabi nya. Pero minsan kasi u are handling a “human being” hindi robot ang artist.” Byron said. “There are times u impose what u believe will work pero dapat pagunawa din sa artist!”
“Artist yan! Meaning may “art” dyan. May kanya kanyang saltik ang artist na dapat unawain. Manager ka nga eh. U manage hindi you control!” he added.
This is not the first time that Byron made a post about Ogie.
In 2020, Byron swiped against Ogie after the latter’s radio show was canceled.
