Nakakahiya! Thai tourist nahuli sa akto ang isang security personnel sa NAIA na nangdekwat ng pera

A group of Thai tourists’ visit to the Philippines became a nightmare after their experience with the Office for Transportation Security (OTS) members.

In a social media post, Piyawat Gunlayaprasit shared their experience at the transit gate of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), where an OTS personnel allegedly stole money from the bag of his companion.

Gunlayaprasit said that on February 22, they noticed that the money totaled of P8,000 were missing in the bag of his friend went missing after they underwent a security check.

Because of that, they complained to the security personnel and urged them to return the money.

At first, the personnel told them that no CCTV footage would prove the money had gone missing during the security check.

Another Thai passenger told the personnel they captured the incident by recording a video on her phone.

This forced the personnel to return the money to the victim, and the video also captured it.

The video showed the female personnel returning the money secretly by putting the money into the pocket of the victim.

The second video posted by Gunlayaprasit showed the person talking to them privately and begging them to delete the video.

However, the tourists refused to delete the video and posted it on social media.

Several public officials, including Sen. Grace Poe, who chairs the Senate Committee on Public Services, expressed disappointment with the members of OTS.

“Nung nakita ko yung video na yun, talagang nakakagalit at nakakahiya. Isa na namang problema ito sa reputasyon ng NAIA, ng ating airport,” Poe said.

OTS vowed to investigate the said incident.

“The OTS took immediate actions to identify the involved SSOs. Subsequently, they were relieved from their duty and were placed under preventive suspension. OTS investigators are now preparing to file the appropriate administrative cases.” the statement reads.
