Several netizens talked about the advice of Sen. Robin Padilla in the past to his daughter Kylie Padilla.
Padilla’s advice recirculated on social media after Aljur Abrenica’s admission that he had a relationship with AJ Raval.
It can be recalled that Sen. Robin and Kylie already talked before about the latter’s problem with her former partner Aljur Abrenica.
In an interview with Ogie Diaz, the action star-turned-senator admitted that he had no right to advise his daughter.
“Pagdating sa marriage ano ba ma-a-advise ko? E, failure din kami ng mama niya. Ano’ng credibility ko?” Padilla shared.
According to Padilla, the only advice he gave to Kylie was to convert Aljur to Islam.
“Sabi ko, ‘Pag-Muslimin mo na lang si Aljur’,” Padilla shared.
Islam allows a man to have multiple wives, so some netizens thought that Padilla wanted Aljur to be converted so he could legally marry other women.
He also urged Aljur and Kylie that if they’re planning to reconcile, they should do it as soon as possible.
“Pero sana huwag tumagal. Kung magbabalikan sila, ‘wag nilang patagalin. Kailangan kaagad,” he said.
Padilla also told the two not to publish their problems on social media.
