One of the prominent writers of GMA-7 slammed Angel Locsin after she claimed that she had nothing when she transferred to ABS-CBN.
On July 18 during a protest against ABS-CBN shutdown, Locsin said that she was thankful to Kapamilya Network for helping her during her difficult times.
“Wala akong shares sa ABS-CBN, wala akong kontrata pero itong mga taong ‘to sila yung’ nagbigay ng trabaho sa akin, sila yung tumulong sa akin nung walang-wala ang pamilya ko,” Locsin said.
Locsin decided not to renew her contract with ABS-CBN due to personal reasons.
However, GMA-7 writer Suzette Doctolero said that Locsin earned big money during her stay at Kapuso network.
It can be remembered that Locsin was one of the biggest stars of GMA-7, leading Kapuso top shows like Mulawin (2004), Darna (2005), Majika (2006), and Asian Treasures (2007).
According to Doctolero, workers of Kapuso network and the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) was aware of how much Locsin earned in GMA-7.
The writer said that Locsin left GMA-7 with deep pockets.
She then urged Locsin to remember where she came from.
“A e I admire your courage po pero huwag exag. Doctolero said.
“Pero, gurl, we know at ng BIR na di ka patay gutom nung lumipat ka sa kabila, teh. But go, tuloy ang laban, gurl.
In 2010, Locsin denied that she’s experiencing financial problems.
“Never naman akong nagkuwento about sa money. Pero siyempre, hindi naman ako naghihirap!” Locsin said in an interview with Pep.ph.
In another post, Doctolero posted the list of top 100 shareholders of ABS-CBN, saying that Locsin was lying when she said that she doesn’t own any stocks from Kapamilya network.
Locsin already clarified several months ago that she’s still paying for the ABS-CBN stocks.
“Mine is payable for 5 years.
She also vowed to donate the stocks to charity if ever that it produce a profit.
Doctolero is a known supporter of President Duterte and spoke several times about the ABS-CBN franchise issue.
