Journalist Raffy Tulfo is one of the most popular people on social media right now and already gained millions of fans because of his public service program.
While most of the videos of Raffy Tulfo gained positive comments on social media, there’s an episode on his Youtube channel which uploaded three days ago has received 100,000 dislikes as of writing.
The journalist is being criticized now for scolding a teacher who’s already working for three decades after someone complained about her way of disciplining her students.
Complainants Salve Banez, and Rosemil Edroso went to Raffy Tulfo to complain about the actions of teacher Melita Limjuco.
Banez claimed that Limjuco embarrassed her grandchild many times, saying that the teacher’s way of disciplining her student is very wrong.
The complainant narrated that Limjuco let her grandchild stay out of their classroom as punishment for not returning the card they borrowed.
There’s also a CCTV footage showing how Limjuco ordered the child to sit outside their classroom.
“Gusto ko lang ay mabigyan siya ng leksyon, dahil ang ginawa niya sa apo ko ay hindi makatarungan, kasi malaki ng impact non sa apo ko, ang sipag niya pumasok, matalinong bata…” Banez said.
Later on, Limjuco defended herself saying that she doesn’t intend to embarrass the child, but only wanted to discipline him.
However, Tulfo argued that Limjuco really meant to embarrass the child and she could face charges for what she did.
“Yung paglabas mo dala dala mo yung upuan niya at ibinagsak mo pa yung upuan, at galit na galit ka, nandoon pa yung facial expression mo at pagkatapos sabay pasok mo at yung bata pinabayaan mong nakaupo doon at pinabayaan mo siyang mapahiya sa kanyang kapwa mga estudyante,” Tulfo told Limjuco.
Limjuco made an apology to Banez for what she did to their grandchild, insisting that she didn’t mean to traumatize her student.
Banez didn’t accept the apology of Limjuco while Tulfo warned the teacher that she’s going to face charges.
“Hihingi ka sakin ng sorry? no sorry,” Banez said.
“Parang awa niyo na po, ako na nga po ang humihingi ng sorry, humihingi po ako ng tawad, please po,” Limjuco responded.
Meanwhile, the mother of the child, Rosemil Edroso said that she only wanted to remove the teaching license of Limjuco.
Before the episode ends, Tulfo invited the teacher to their action center so they could talk personally with the complainants.
The video gained a tremendous amount of negative comments from the netizens who defended the teacher and criticized Tulfo for siding with the complainants.
Several social media users even urged netizens to dislike the said video of Raffy Tulfo.
“Naging estudyante rin ako. Pinahiya, pinatayo ng matagal, pinalabas sa klase, pinatilyahan, nginudngod pa nga ako sa pisara nung di ako makasagot sa aralin sa Math. At kung makakasalubong ko ang mga dati kong guro. Wala ako ibang sasabihin kundi salamat. Dahil sa kanila, mas matatag ako ngayon,” netizen Joshua Capul said.
“Isa na namang guro ang nawalan ng trabaho. Pinaka disappointing na episode ng Tulfo,” Netizen Migs Reyes remarked.
