Legendary OPM artist Jim Paredes criticized GMA-7 for letting Bong Revilla work again in their station.
On a tweet, Paredes expressed his disappointment over GMA because it seems that the network is only after money and didn’t consider the past of the controversial politician from Cavite.
Paredes believes that the kids might idolize Bong Revilla again as he will appear in a drama-fantasy show for children.
“PERA PERA PERA lahat. OK Lang sa inyo na maging role model siya ng kabataan? C’mon GMA. You can do better than this,” Paredes said.
“Why would a franchise ALLOW this? That is the bigger question. They have social and corporate responsibilities. The airwaves belong to the Filipino people,” he also said.

Some of Paredes’ followers are also thinking the same.
“Don’t teach kids how to steal, Bong! And GMA!” netizen @artie_76 said.
“Bong Revilla is probably producing it and buying time slots. Sort of how GMA has been running its business lately,” @jpalipio remarked.
According to the news report, Revilla will appear in a still-untitled weekly kid show, like his previous Kap’s Amazing Stories aired in 2007.
Aside from his weekly show in GMA, Revilla is also going to appear in a movie with Maine Mendoza as part of their participation at the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2019.
Revilla was detained for plunder and graft charges related to pork barrel scam but regained his freedom in December 2018.
He made a successful political comeback after he reached ranked 11 in the 2019 senatorial elections, Revilla ranked 11th with 14,624,445 votes.
