Senator Ronald Dela Rosa said that he’s ready to lose his head if the critics provide evidence that the alleged EJKs happening around the country are sponsored by the Duterte administration.
The former Philippine National Police (PNP) chief and the brain behind “Oplan Tokhang” said that the critics only wanted to make the government look bad by trying to convince the international community that the Duterte government are ordering the law enforcers to commit EJK.
“Gusto nila palabasin na ito ay state-sponsored. I will have my head cut off if this is state-sponsored,” Dela Rosa told the reporters during his visit at Camp Crame.
“Pugutan ninyo ako ng ulo kung ‘state-sponsored’ ang mga sinasabi ninyong EJK.” he added.
Dela Rosa made the statement after the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) voted in favor of the Iceland-led resolution that urging the organization to investigate President Duterte.
“Kung gusto nila, wala naman tayo tinatago kaya tama ‘yan. Investigate kung anong gusto nilang malaman, because we have nothing to hide. Let them investigate whatever they want to know,” Bato said.
The Senator argued that the UNHRC was misled by some people who wanted to oust the President.
“I challenge them, you produce the 22,000 cases including ‘yung mga taong nagbigay sa inyo ng impormasyon, ‘yung mga tao na nagmisled sa inyo about the numbers. Produce niyo ‘yan, imbestigahan natin one by one,” he added.
The cop-turned-senator also said that the recent actions of the UNHRC are insulting to the government of the Philippines.
Iceland’s resolution was voted by 18 countries including Mexico where cartels are rampant.
