TAPE Inc. sinisi sina Tito, Vic and Joey, sa pagkalugi ng kanilang show: “Iniwan tayo ng kasama natin,”

Television and Productions Exponents Incorporated (TAPE Inc.) reportedly blamed the decision of Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, and other hosts and staff of Eat Bulaga for the misfortunes that happened to them.

In a report by Bilyonaryo.com, the owners of TAPE Inc. reportedly blamed TVJ for the financial losses of the production company.

However, TAPE said that they had no choice but to step in as the people previously handling Eat Bulaga were making wrong decisions.

It can be recalled that the takeover of the Jalosjos family was one of the alleged reasons why TVJ left the show.

“Last year alam niyo naman yung nangyari na hindi dapat nangyari: iniwan tayo ng kasama natin eh. Before ako pumasok dito at nagdecide ang Jalosjos family na makialam na, nakita na namin sa mga reports na palaki nang palaki ang diperensya ng paggastos at ng income…  in short, nalulugi,” TAPE President and Chief Exective Officer Jon-Jon Jalosjos said.

He even hinted that the mass departure of former Eat Bulaga hosts and staff was already planned.

“Salamat sa inyo, naniwala tayo. Hindi ko alam kung planado… basta alam ko lang, ang galing. Sa pag-alis nila may bagong show sila,” he said.

“Sinubukan nating lahat ng ating makakaya… Dumating ang panahon na lumobo nang lumobo ang utang natin sa GMA,” he added.

Former staff and hosts of Eat Bulaga transferred to TV5 and created their own show under TVJ’s own production company.

Paolo Contis was reportedly affected by the decision made by Television and Production Exponents (TAPE) Incorporated to stop producing their noontime show ‘Tahanang Pinakamasaya.’

It can be recalled that Paolo was one of the main hosts of the show and even used the program to defend his bosses amid the trademark issue between TAPE and former Eat Bulaga hosts, Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon.

According to Ogie Diaz, he asked Paolo about his thoughts on the closure of Tahanang Pinakamasaya, but the host refused to talk to anyone for now.

“I asked Paolo Contis since malapit naman tayo sa batang ‘yan, hiningi niya na huwag ko muna siyang kausapin,” said Ogie.

“Gusto raw muna niyang mapag-isa.. ‘mare, pass muna ko’ papahinga lang ako…’ sino ba naman tayo para kulitin ‘yong bata, ‘di ba?” he added.

Ogie also disclosed that TAPE was required to pay P800-M to GMA Network, which may explain the decision of the company to stop the possibility of accumulating more debts.

Last March 2, Paolo, and other hosts of Eat Bulaga bid farewell to their fans.

Television and Production Exponents (TAPE) Inc. announced the closure of their noontime show ‘Tahanang Pinakamasaya,’ several months after their rift with former hosts of Eat Bulaga.

“It is with a heavy heart that we inform our televiewers that our noontime show “Tahanang Pinakasamasaya” on Kapuso network, GMA 7, will no longer be on air effective March 8, 2024,” said TAPE Inc.

They explained that they were forced to end their show due to ‘unwanted circumstances.’

“Despite our best efforts to save the show, both parties have reached a mutual agreement to finally call off the show,” they said.

“To the loyal viewers, esteemed hosts, supportive advertisers, hardworking crew and dedicated employees who have been with us from the very beginning – from the longest-running noontime show “Eat Bulaga” to the present “Tahanang Pinakamasaya” – our sincerest “Thank you!” and optimistic “see you again!” they added.

It can be recalled that on May 2023, Eat Bulaga hosts, Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon, together with other staff of the show, left GMA Network due to an internal issue, between them and TAPE.

TAPE and TVJ then engaged in a legal battle to gain the ownership of the Eat Bulaga title, which the original hosts won.

TAPE was then forced to change their noontime show title to ‘Tahanang Pinakamasaya.’

The contract between GMA and TAPE was set to expire in December.
