Several attendees of the campaign sortie organized by Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas on February 15, 2025, in Carmen, Davao del Norte, couldn’t hide their disappointment as they were disallowed to leave the venue while the event was still ongoing.
In a Facebook post, netizen Mitch Cruda published a video taken at the venue’s exit, in which some attendees pleaded with the security personnel to allow them to leave.
Around 11:30 a.m., some attendees asked to leave because they wanted to buy food and water for their lunch, but they were only allowed to leave around 4:50 p.m.
They also didn’t receive any food or water from the organizers.
“May pera naman kayo BBM pero bakit hindi man lang kayo nakapagbigay ng tubig o pagkain,” the Cruda said.
As of this writing, the organizers of the rally have yet to comment on the complaints made by the attendees.
Davao region was known to be the bailiwick of Marcos’ former ally and now nemesis, Rodrigo Duterte.
