LTO kinumpirma ang patong-patong na reklamong naghihintay sa ‘Superman’ ng Marilaque

The Land and Transportation Office (LTO) confirmed that they would file multiple charges against Moto vlogger Recs Akmad following the incident that happened on the Marilaque Highway in Tanay, Rizal, last weekend.

Akmad was one of the two motorcycle riders who rammed a group of tourist after losing control as a result of their dangerous motorcycle stunt.

In a statement released on Tuesday, January 28, LTO chief Atty. Vigor D. Mendoza II vowed to increase their enforcers’ visibility along the 117.5 km-long highway.

“We have to put a stop to this practice because it endangers the lives of not only the motorcycle riders but also the other road users passing in the area. In the most recent case, may namatay na nga motorcycle vlogger at may mga nadamay pang turista,” said  Mendoza.

He also met with the PNP-Highway Patrol Group to discuss the possible solutions to the proliferation of undisciplined drivers at Marilaque.

Akmad was set to face criminal and administrative charges in relation to the incident.

They would also issue a show cause order to Akmad so the latter could explain why his license should not be revoked.

“We would like to remind the motorcycle riders again to refrain from turning public roads as your exhibition areas. Napaka-iresponsableng gawain po ito. May mga tamang lugar para doon at hindi dapat ang mga kalsada dahil nilalagay ninyo sa alanganin ang buhay ng mga road users,” said Mendoza.

It can be recalled that Akmad was unapologetic with his actions.
