Veteran broadcaster and television host Korina Sanchez gave giggles to netizens after she made a weird comparison of international chef Gordon Ramsay’s international dish to the Filipino dish Embutido.
In one of their programs on the Bilyonaryo News Channel, Sanchez tried to describe the expensive dish to their viewers as not everyone could eat at Gordon’s restaurant at Newport World Resorts.
“Yun ang sinasabi nila na you have to try it. Yung fish and chips kasi British siya, atsaka yung Beef Wellington. Parang embutido siya,” said Korina.
“Ang sosyal eh tapos sasabihin ‘Parang Embotido ‘yon!'” Pinky Webb responded.
“Karne na halos hindi niluto, duguan pa tapos lalagyan mo ng tinapay, tapos hihiwayin mo. Parang Embutido,” Korina added.
Netizens couldn’t stop themselves from giving their thoughts on Korina’s choice of comparison.
“To be clear, dinesecribe lang po ang resemblance or APPEARANCE as embutido, but not the TASTE,” a netizen said.
“It sounded like hindi masarap kc di nadescribe na masarap, but could also be na hindi lang swak sa panlasang pinoy,” another netizen commented.
A signature Beef Wellington at Gordon Ramsay’s Bar & Grill at the Newport World Resorts would cost P3,888.
