A story of a board exam passer went viral on social media due to the disappointment expressed by the netizens who read it.
The story was published on different social media platforms, which was about the complaint made by the uploader against her ‘ate’ who chose to be with her boyfriend during the oath-taking ceremony instead of their father.
In the post made by the uploader, it showed their father who was celebrating after they were informed that his daughter was already a board passer.
He even made preparations for what he would be wearing as he expected that he would attend the oath-taking of his daughter.
However, the board passer chose to give her ticket to her boyfriend.
“This is how happy my tatay after my ‘ate’ passed the board exam. He even suggested to make a tarpauling or two (dito sa amin at sa side ni tatay ilalagay),” the uploader said.
“Isa lang puwede ilaagay sa list ng pupunta sa oath taking and then nilista ni ate bf [boyfriend] niya. That’s why my tatay literally cry the whole night. I remember he’s so excited pa naman kasi sabi niya, ‘susuotin ko ‘yung sapatos ko galing abroad para maayos ako tingnan.’ He expected na siya ililista kasi mula elementary hanggang collerge graduation niya, si tatay ang pumupunta,” the uploader added.
The uploader said that they couldn’t understand why their sister chose to be with her boyfriend, saying that their father didn’t even treat her badly.
“Hindi masama ugali ni tatay para hindi niya ilista, naipo-provide niya lahat ng needs namin kahit sa junkshop ang trabaho nila ni nanay. Hindi rin boyfriend ni ate nagpaaral sa kaniya, late lang siya tumulong sa review ni ate. Saka lang siya tumulong noong binigyan na ni tatay ng trabaho boyfriend niya, basta ang sabi ni ate siya [boyfriend] raw ang tumulong sa kaniya no’ng nagre-review siya kaya siya ang nilista niya,” the uploader said.
“Pero never niya inisip lahat ng naitulong na rin ni tatay, kapag sinabi na ni tatay na siya ang nagpaaral sa kaniya parang panunumbat na sa mata ng mga taong iyon. Kaya inoff ko na lang muna yung comment section. Bineblame nila kay tatay kung bakit naging desisyon ni ate, but wala naman siyang ginawang masama para maging ganyan si ate,” the uploader added.
They even said that their ate blocked her whole family on social media because of the incident.
