Veteran actress Nadia Montenegro shared her state after she underwent an Ablation Procedure.
According to John Hopkins Medicine: “Ablation is a procedure to treat atrial fibrillation. It uses small burns or freezes of heart cells to cause some scarring on the inside of the heart. This helps break up or insulate the electrical signals that cause irregular heartbeats. This can help the heart maintain a normal heart rhythm,”
She also revealed that she was diagnosed with Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome, which made the state of her heart worse.
“Ito po kasing Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome diseases ay umaatake po ang puso ko, umaabot po ng minsan 160 to 190 beats per minute,” she said.
THANKFUL FOR HER SECOND LIFE
Nadia also shared that her doctors had already declared code blue for almost four minutes after the operation due to seizure, which means that she was lifeless for the said period.
“Sabi po e ako ay nawala ng apat na minuto. Nangitim na lang po ako, nawala ang aking heart beat, hindi ko po alam kung anong nangyari basta paggising ko po e nandoon ang aking nanay, lahat ng aking mga anak nakita po nila yung nangyari,” Nadia said.
She was thankful that she survived the near-death experience.
“Marami pa po akong gagawin sa buhay…sa nanay ko, sa mga kapatid ko, sa aking mga anak, my son-in-laws, sa aking mga pamangkin, at lalung-lalo na sa aking mga apo, thank you from the bottom of my heart,” she stated.
The actress vowed to return to showbiz after getting enough rest.
