Two-time Olympic gold medalist and multi-millionaire Carlos Yulo didn’t evade the negative comments from his critics amid the onslaught of Typhoon Kristine in the country.
In some comments on social media, critics questioned why Carlos, who received more than P100 M from different companies and individuals, didn’t share his wealth with the affected families by the Typhoon.
They also asked why Carlos didn’t even participate in different relief programs since he was being portrayed as the best example of an excellent Filipino athlete.
One post about Carlos, who was called ‘missing-in-action’, even reached thousands of reactions and shares on social media.
“Hahahahaha, puro tanggap wla mn lng tulong sa nabagyuhan,” netizen Nasinej said.
“Magulang nga di tinulungan ibang tao pa kaya.
Parang si Quiboloy self-proclaimed God sya naman self-proclaimed hero of his own not by people who prayed and supported him in his journey,” netizen Redd remarked.
However, some Carlos fans came to the rescue, insisting the athlete has no obligation to help the affected of the bad weather.
