The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and the Presidential Security Group (PSG) collaborated to catch an alleged operator of a drug den within the Malacanang Complex.
According to the report of Abogado.ph, the suspect was identified as Edgar Ventura in his house near the Palace, the official residence of the President of the Republic of the Philippines.
Meanwhile, the authorities did not catch another suspect, Francis Soriano.
NBI started to investigate Ventura and Soriano after they received an intelligence report that some individuals were running an illegal business within the Palace complex.
Authorities recovered nine sachets of suspected shabu, along with paraphernalia.
The warrant was issued by Manila RTC Branch 37.
Netizens couldn’t believe that even the most secure complex in the country was not safe from illegal substances.
As of writing, the Palace has yet to give any statement on the operation conducted by NBI and PSG.
