The President of the Gymnastics Association of the Philippines (GAP), Cynthia Carrion, disclosed that the girlfriend of the two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo planned to organize a meeting between their families to fix their differences.
In an interview with DWIZ, Carrion said Chloe San Jose’s initial plan was to hold a dinner between her family and Carlos so they could talk about their problems.
However, the official said that Chloe postponed the plan after the family issue with her boyfriend was publicized on social media.
The said meeting was supposed to happen after the 2024 Paris Olympics.
It can be recalled that netizens uncovered some social media posts from Carlos’ mother and sister, which sparked the discussion on the gymnast’s family issues.
“In fact, she was willing to give a dinner with the parents… her family and the family of Carlos. She was already planning a dinner together, but then, ‘that’ thing came out. All of the things… media coming out… that discouraged her,” said Carrion.
Carrion added that Chloe and Carlos decided to observe the situation before acting.
However, some netizens following the issue believed it would be difficult for Carlos and Chloe to meet the Yulo family privately as the public was now following them.
Some personalities also involved themselves in the issue.
