Lexter “Boy Dila” Castro launched an activity to redeem his image to the delivery rider community.
On June 3, 2024, Lexter traveled with his friends to different parts of San Juan City to distribute free meals for the delivery riders.
He became infamous on social media after he was seen pouring water on a delivery rider during the ‘Wattah, Wattah Festival’ despite the pleading of the latter not to wet him.
In the video, it can be seen that Lexter was also recognized by some riders, who even teased him about what he did last month.
Some netizens saw his gesture as a way to clean his image and to show that his public apology was sincere.
Just a day before his philanthropic activity, Lexter faced San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora and the public to apologize for his actions.
He also vowed not to stick his tongue out anymore or act unruly again in the future.
“Ako’y nagpapasalamat sa kanya [Castro] dahil naglakas loob siya na pumunta dito at aminin ang kanyang mga kasalanan, aminin ang kanyang mga nagawa, humingi ng tawad at paumanhin,” said Zamora.
“Para sa kanya, ito ‘yung leksyon na sinasabi ko, isang bagay na hindi niya makakalimutan dahil natuto siyang magpakumbaba, humingi ng tawad at magbago at hindi niya na ilalabas ang kanyang dila dahil ang kanyang ipinangako at hindi narin siya magiging mayabang sa anumang paraan,” he added.
