Netizens, nagulantang matapos malaman ang totoong itsura ng ka-lookalike ni Coco Martin

A man who went viral on social media after netizens noticed his resemblance to Kapamilya actor and director Coco Martin made a huge revelation, which disappointed many fans.

On May 29, social media content creator Lutong Kahoy published a video of himself with the caption “Coco Martin Pro Max.”

The video showed the content creator wearing a basketball jersey while acting dizzy due to his previous drinks.

The video quickly gained millions of views online, as many netizens thought his face resembled that of the FPJ’s Batang Quiapo actor.

However, Lutong Kahoy admitted in another post that he only used software to borrow the actor’s face.

“Bat kayo na prank? Nalimotan nyo siguro mag basa ng caption,” he said.

While many people laughed at the issue, many experts who observed the netizens’ reaction expressed concern as many Filipino social media users didn’t distinguish an AI-generated face swap used by the content creator.

The video was also labeled as “made with AI,” but many netizens didn’t notice the said label.

Lutong Kahoy refused to disclose the software he used for the face-swap.
