Basketball star James Yap and his Italian partner, Michela Cazzola, reportedly called it quits after several years of their relationship.
Talent manager and entertainment reporter Ogie Diaz revealed that his source already confirmed the separation between the two.
According to him, James and Michela were still on good terms and actively performing their duties as parents to their children.
However, Ogie still wanted to hear James’ confirmation about the rumors.
“May nakarating lang naman sa akin. Ewan ko kung nabalita na rin ito. At itatanong na rin natin kay James Yap para lang sure. Gaano ba katotoo James Yap na wala na kayo ng iyong Italian wife?” he said.
“Kung totoo man ito, nakakalungkot ‘yan. Pero syempre, ang sabi naman sa akin ng aking nakausap—kung totoo man ito—maganda naman daw ang relasyon nitong si James Yap sa kaniyang ex-Italian wife. Kumbaga maganda ‘yong kanilang co-parenting,” he added.
Some netizens speculated that the long-distance relationship didn’t work for James and Michela.
James was still active in his professional basketball career, while Michela was currently in Italy.
It’s not yet known if their distance was the reason why James and Michela’s relationship didn’t work.
James has yet to release a statement regarding the issue.
