Boss Toyo acquired another good collectible after internet sensation Deo Balbuena, better known as Diwata, sold the first cooking pot he used in his Paresan business.
In one of the episodes of “Pinoy Pawstar,” Diwata visited Boss Toyo’s shop to offer the cooking pot he used before gaining fame on social media.
Diwata also narrated how he decided to establish his Paresan business along Roxas Boulevard, where he lived as a homeless man.
At first, Diwata initially wanted to sell his pot for 3,500 pesos, but Boss Toyo tried to haggle the price to P3,000.
Diwata signed the pot to prove its authenticity and increase its value.
Diwata even offered his flip-flops as a freebie, but Boss Toyo refused to accept it.
Boss Toyo planned to display the pot in his future museum, which is about Philippine pop culture, to immortalize the legacy of Diwata.
“Yung buhay niya galing sa hirap, umangat ‘yung buhay. Yun ang ginagawa ni Pinoy Pawnstars, ang maipaalala sa lahat ng henerasyon at mananatili tayong institusyon,” he stated.
Diwata became one of the most popular internet celebrities this year after being heavily covered by content creators.
However, he also received criticism due to his attitude of occationally ignoring his fans.
