Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon’s TVJ Productions reportedly earned half a billion pesos in advertising revenues in the first six months of Eat Bulaga.
According to the report published by Bilyonaryo, the longest-running noontime show gained a great start during its partnership with TV5, getting P501-M in revenue from television and social media sponsorships from June 21 to December 31, 2023.
Bilyonaryo’s source also expected that Eat Bulaga would gain more profit this year as it was proven that their transfer to TV5 was successful.
It can be recalled that after Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime was transferred to GMA Network, rumors started to circulate about Eat Bulaga’s financial difficulties.
Even a fan page dedicated for TV5 fans also published the said reports, saying that TV5 called for a meeting to resolve the financial problems of TVJ Productions.
On April 17, 2024, Tito said that he would release the income tax return of Eat Bulaga to prove that they’re not on the verge of closing.
However, the profit published by TVJ Productions would prove that their show was still profitable despite leaving GMA Network after 28 years of their stay.
Some reports that Eat Bulaga would transfer to a bigger studio that could accommodate thousands of live audiences.
