Social media celebrity and entrepreneur Deo Balbuena, also known as “Diwata,” had been served by warrant due to a charge filed against him in 2018.
According to PNP Spokesperson PCapt. Mark Jun Anaviso, Diwata peacefully coordinated with the authorities who visited him at his Paresan establishment in Pasay City.
The warrant was served by on. Allan B Ariola, Presiding Judge ng Metropolitan Trial Court Br 48, Pasay City.
The influencer quickly posted bail worth P3,000 to gain his temporary freedom.
Netizens expressed their support for Diwata, saying that the complaint was only a thing of his dark past.
“Grabe. Di ako against sa law pero bakit ngayon lang nilabas yan? Ayaw nyo talagang paangatin yung kapwa natin pinoy. Well its more fun in the Philippines,” netizen Gerwill said.
“Ganyan talaga ang buhay pag umaangat ka marami ibabato sayo,” netizen Al commented.

It can be recalled that Diwata received social media fame after several vloggers recognized him as the viral LGBT member who was featured on a news report about a commotion in 2016.
His Paresan business quickly became an attraction among netizens, thanks to his colorful personality and dedication to escape poverty.
Just recently, Alex Gonzaga featured Diwata’s Paresan business and the social media celebrity also shared his determination to have a better life after trying several businesses.
He was also part of the ABS-CBN program FPJ Batang Quiapo.
