Social media celebrity and businessman Deo Jarito Balbuena, also known as ‘Diwata’ shared his experience as he became part of Batang Quiapo.
In an interview with a vlogger, Diwata said he attended one of the tapings of the program led by action star Coco Martin.
“Yeah tapos na ang taping ko sa ‘Batang Quiapo,’ pero next taping, hindi ko pa alam kung kailan. Pero nag-taping na ako. So, waiting na lang kung kailan ipapalabas. Abangan n’yo ko dun,” he said.
His appearance was confirmed after he was seen during the end credits of Batang Quiapo.
According to him, he would play himself on the show and would also own a ‘Paresan’ business.
He also joked that he now felt how to become a star.
“Nag extra ako sa Batang Quiapo, ganito pala ang buhay ng artista, ayaw ko na!” he said in jest.
But he clarified that he was still the ‘Diwata’ people loved and vowed not to change despite his success.
“Wala paring magbabago, ganito parin ako, gaganda lang ako,” he stated.
It can be recalled that Diwata’s rise to stardom when vloggers started to feature his business.
He was featured on a news program in 2016 after being involved in a commotion and quickly became a meme due to his funny personality.
