Amid the separation rumors between Sarah Lahbati and Richard Gutierrez, netizens talked about the past issues between the parents of the celebrity couple, Esther Lahbati and Annabelle Rama.
It can be recalled that Annabelle took a swipe against Sarah’s parents, saying that they caused the issue between the celebrity couple.
“‘Wag n’yong idiin sa akin ang nangyayari ngayon. Ako ang walang alam sa nangyari, ang bilis. Nagulat na lang ako biglang dumating ang nanay at tatay galing ibang bansa. Doon na nag-umpisa ang malaking gulo. ‘Wag n’yo ibagsak sa akin ang sisi,” said Annabelle.
Some netizens believed Annabelle’s not-so-good relationship with Sarah’s parents could have originated from the rift between the talent manager and Esther in 2014.
In the said year, Esther publicly talked about her bad experiences during the first birthday celebration of Sarah and Richard’s son, Zion.
“The Truth! Masakit ang ma ignore sa party. Hindi naman pwede pera pera na lang ang lagi nangingibabaw. Para lang makilala ka sa lipunan. Pag wala ka pera di ka kilala,” Esther said.
“At the end of the day sinabihan pa ‘ko ng, ‘Esther, magbalot ka ng mga tirang pagkain dyan.’ Pinarinig pa sa mga bisita, grabe! Naawa ako sa sarili ko. The whole party hindi ako pinansin tapos para ako patay gutom na aalukin ng tira pagkain,” she added.
Annabelle reacted to the statement and asked Esther not to challenge her.
“Tigilan mo na ‘yang arte-arte mo, Esther. Ako ay naiinis na sa ‘yo. Huwag mo ako hamunin, hindi ako natatakot sa ‘yo! Tumigil ka na, tama na ‘yan!” she stated.
Fortunately, the two reconciled in the same year during Christmas.
“Well, someone is happy that the two Lola’s have kissed and made up! Indeed, timing is everything,” said Ruffa Gutierrez, who witnessed the reconciliation between the two.
