It can be recalled that Pura was facing charges from the Philippines for Jesus Movement (PJM) and Hijos del Nazarenos for allegedly disrespecting the Catholic Faith after she dressed as Jesus Christ while performing a remixed version of a mass song.

However, Pura denied the accusations, saying that she was also a believer of Jesus Christ and he only wanted to express her faith via performances.

She also refused to apologize for his performance.

“If I apologize, what do I apologize for? Cause I do apologize if they get offended, but the ownership of Jesus is something that I think anyone can own,” said Pura. “Anyone can have a strong belief of Jesus. Anyone can also express their faith, no matter how different it may be,”
