In a statement, the television network giant said that they’re planning to file a Motion for Reconsideration before the MTRCB to shorten the suspension received by their show.

They insisted that the show didn’t violate any law.

“Kami ay maghahain ng Motion for Reconsideration dahil naniniwala kami na walang nangyaring paglabag sa anumang batas,” the ABS-CBN statement reads.

“Patuloy rin kaming makikipag-ugnayan sa MTRCB para makapagtuloy ang “It’s Showtime” sa paghahatid ng libangan at saya sa minamahal naming Madlang People. Buong puso kaming nagpapasalamat sa lahat ng nagmamahal at sumusuporta sa “It’s Showtime”,” they added.

It can be recalled that MTRCB headed by Lala Sotto, suspended It’s Showtime for 12 airing days due to the alleged ‘indecent acts’ performed by their hosts, Vice Ganda and Ion Perez during the Isip Bata segment.

According to them, many viewers filed a complaint against It’s Showtime and they’re only acting based on the protest they received.

“Viewers have lodged multiple complaints before the MTRCB concerning the show’s 25 July 2023 episode wherein the program’s hosts allegedly acted in an indecent manner during one of its Segments, “Isip Bata”. The said case was referred to the MTRCB’s Hearing and Adjudication Committee which heard the case and required the respondents to submit their position papers, following the procedural process,” the MTRCB statement reads.
