It can be recalled that after 28 years, Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon announced their departure to Television and Production Exponents Inc. and GMA Network.

Several netizens posted the first episode of Eat Bulaga under GMA, showing how the Kapuso Network warmly welcomed the Dabarkads.

The launch of Eat Bulaga as a Kapuso was held at Araneta Coliseum, and it was described as colourful and very Filipino by some netizens who watched it.

The video shows TVJ and other Eat Bulaga hosts riding a jeepney on their way to Araneta.

The hosts also performed the Eat Bulaga theme song together with many performers.

Netizens who watched the video couldn’t stop themselves from comparing TVJ’s entrance into GMA Network and their first episode on TV5.

Some of them said that GMA’s preparation for the Dabarkads was more fancy and described TVJ’s arrival on TV5 as simpler.

Several reports indicated that TVJ’s launch of their newest noontime show was originally planned to be held at Philippine Arena, a stadium that was thrice the size of Araneta.
