Television host Kris Aquino publicly urged her ‘friend’ Batangas Vice Governor Mark Leviste to prioritize his job as a public servant instead of visiting her in the US.
It can be remembered that Leviste was actively giving updates about Aquino while she was in America for treatment.
While Aquino appreciated the presence of Leviste, she reminded the public official that he was elected by the people of Batangas to serve them and not her.
“Please don’t comment anymore, even though they were just emojis,” Aquino told Leviste.
“Sa mga minamahal ni Vice Gov na mga Batangueno, I have 2 tests left to determine kung kakayanin ko yung ipapasubok na bagong gamot sa kin, praying all goes well because KAYO ang boss nya at wala sa job requirement ng VG ang tumulong mag-alaga sa ‘kin.
“Parati kong pinapaalala kay VG Marc his responsibilities in Batangas di hamak mas mahalaga kumpara sa ‘kin dahil pinagkatiwalaan nyo sya ng inyong boto. I grew up knowning: public service is PRIVILEGE & it’s an accepted reality, serving the people whether binoto ka o hindi, that’s more important than any friendship or romantic relationship.
“Love teaches you how to be patient; constituents in need of social services are not expected to be, because the mandate they gave is based on RESPECT & TRUST; and for all of us, life is difficult enough. Pasensya na po, kinakailangan ko lang po ng masasandalan at hindi nya ko binigo.
“Mga Batangueno, hindi na po sya gagambalin para yung FOCUS nya inyong inyo.”
The statement of Aquino received mixed reactions from the netizens, saying that the television host was right to remind her friend about his responsibilities.
