After the revelation of Paolo Contis’ that he’s already in a relationship with actress Yen Santos, the actor’s letter to his ex-partner LJ Reyes resurfaced on social media.
Paolo wrote the letter in 2017 as his birthday message to LJ.
Paolo told LJ that while their future was full of uncertainties, he was already sure they would be together forever.
“Alam ko marami pa ang malabo at hindi malinaw sa rating hinaharap… pero is a lang ang malinaw para sa akin… Ikaw.” Paolo said. “Malinaw na ikaw lang ang gusto kong makasama habang hinaharap lahat ng kalabuan sa mundong ito. Ikaw lang ang nagbibigay saya sa akin sa gitna ng ilang kalungkutan ko,”
“Kaya naman malinaw na ikaw lang ang mamahalin ko hanggang pagtanda ko,” he added.
Unfortunately, four years after the letter was written, LJ and Paolo announced the end of their relationship.
Some netizens couldn’t stop themselves from commenting on the said letter.
Most of them made a sarcastic response to the message of Paolo.
It was rumored that the cause of their breakup was their alleged relationship of Paolo with Yen.
The two met during the taping of the movie Faraway Land where they’re acting as a couple with a complicated love story.
However, in the recent interview, Paolo denied that he became unfaithful to LJ.
“Nung nag-Baguio kami ni Yen, nasa states na sila LJ nu’n. Nagmukhang baliktad, hindi na kami nu’n [ni LJ],” Paolo said.
As of writing, LJ has yet to respond to Paolo’s denial.
