One of the most talented surfers in the Philippines married his long-time fiance.
John Mark Tokong also is known as Marama, 23, one of the pride of Siargao island finally tied a knot with his foreign girlfriend Danni Hughes in Australia.
Tokong shared the photos of their simple wedding ceremony on his Facebook page.
“And Now We Are MR & MRS ?The day we celebrate our love @natureearthlings,” the surfer wrote.
Tokong is a son of a fisherman who pursued to be one of the best surfers in the country.
Hughes who went to Siargao several years ago described Siargao as “home”, in one of her old Instagram posts.
In another post, she narrated how she met Tokong during her 3rd day in Siargao.
“Living a fairytale with this one .. traveling around solo last year and stumbled across Siargao meeting @maramatokong on my 3rd day. Life hasn’t been the same since then.. Such a blessing to share the love we have together love u,” Hughes said.
Last year Tokong won the 25th Siargao Cloud 9 International Surfing Cop.
He also won the bronze medal last Southeast Asian Games.
The photos posted by Tokong has gone viral on social and received thousands of congratulatory from the netizens.
“LOVE is not when you find a person who has all you ever dream of, but it is when a person has nothing that you wanted & yet you want to compromise everything for that person. Congratulations,” netizen Ronn Ritz said.
“That’s what we called, a real love, a true choice, and a right time. Because being beautiful isn’t what you see outside, it is what you see inside. A love without no doubt. I hope one-day I marry the girl like her,” netizen DenZ Xd commented.

In 2014, Surftotal.com described Tokong as a name people should remember as he already dominating national competitions during his teenage years.
