Babaeng motovlogger na may 6.8-M followers, nabura ang page

A Davao-based female motovlogger announced that she lost her Facebook page with 6.8 million followers.

In a video she published, Norme Garcia showed a notification that her page was removed after she received “multiple reports” that she infringed on “third parties’ intellectual property rights.’

She could also see herself crying after losing all her hard work.

According to her, she has already been receiving copyright claims in the last two months.

She believed that there was a group behind the unpublishing of her page.

“Pinaghirapan talaga nilang gawin ‘yon para mawala ‘yung account ko,” she said.

“Kung hindi daw kami magbabayad sa kanila ng dollars, sisirain talaga nila ‘yung account ko, so eto na talaga ‘yung nangyari ngayon na nawala ‘yung account ko,” she added.

She was in the process of appealing Meta’s decision.

Aside from her main page, Norme also said that her other pages were also unpublished.

“Pinaghirapan talaga namin na ma-gain ‘yung ganoong karaming followers,” she stated.

Several content creators also reported that several groups from other Asian countries falsely reported their accounts.

Some were receiving “impersonation” reports, while others were being reported for copyright infringement.

As of writing, Meta has yet to respond to the issue.

The incident happened only several days after another female motovlogger faced criticism after encountering a motorist.
