Darren Espanto revealed his relationship with GMA actress Jillian Ward.
It can be recalled that many Kapuso and Kapamilya fans shipped Darren and Jillian during their meeting on It’s Showtime.
In an interview with Boy Abunda, Darren admitted that he was actively building his friendship with Jillian.
He was also surprised that Jillian quickly followed him on Instagram after their meeting on the Kapamilya noontime show.
“Nagulat po kaming dalawa, kasi hindi po namin in-expect,” said Darren. “After that episode, I was surprised, kasi siya pa ang unang nag-follow po sa akin, so I followed her back,”
Darren also clarified that they’re already getting to know each other already.
“Hindi naman po. Friends lang. Getting to know each other. Kasi syempre, that’s the first time we ever met po, noong launch [ng It’s Showtime] sa GMA. So, malay po natin, makapag-prod po kami sa Showtime.” he stated.
“Kasi before we parted ways, parang napag-usapan nga namin na sana one day, we could do a collaboration, kasi nagsama kami sa parang corporate event before and she can also sing…And she asked if one day pwede akong mag-guest sa YouTube channel niya – Opo, siyempre. I’m very open,” he added.
It can be recalled that many fans believed that Darren’s “best friend” Cassy Legaspi was suddenly left out due to the chemistry between the Kapamilya actor and Jillian.
After Darren and Jillian’s meeting, Cassy started to share ‘cryptic posts’ on her social media page.
