Lee O’Brian, tuluyan ng pinaalis sa Pilipinas at posibleng hindi na makabalik muli

Comedian Pokwang gained a major victory after her former partner, Lee O’Brian, was finally deported by the Bureau of Immigration (BI).

In an official statement, BI said that the agency rejected the motion for reconsideration filed by Lee, which resulted in his deportation.

Lee took a flight to San Francisco on April 8, 2024, after BI cleared the American actor of any pending cases in the country.

It can be recalled that Pokwang filed a deportation case against Lee last year after their well-publicized separation.

Pokwang disclosed that her former partner worked in the country without proper permits.

Due to his deportation, Lee was now included on the blacklist of BI, which would prevent him from entering the country again.

However, there was still a chance for Lee to be removed from the blacklist, which would depend on the strategy of his legal team.

Someone could be removed from the BI blacklist if they could present evidence that they already resolved the issues which led them to be deported.

The comedian revealed her separation from Lee after she discovered the latter dating another woman.

“Umaasa ako bilang isang ina na maaayos pa kami. Kahit ang sakit-sakit na sa akin, kailangan kong mag-sinungaling kasi umaasa ako na aayusin pa niya, magkaka-ayos pa kami.” she said.

Supporters of Lee criticized Pokwang’s move, saying that it would be harder for Malia to see her father again.

“Panalo si Pokwang, talo si Malia,” a netizen said.

As of writing, Lee, who made very limited statements on the issue has yet to give an official statement on the deportation he faced.
