Bacolod City Mayor Albee Benitez’s son, Victorias City Mayor Javi Benitez, posted a cryptic message amid the statement released by actress Ivana Alawi on her social media page.
It can be recalled that Mayor Albee and Ivana were rumored to be in a relationship after they were reportedly spotted together in Japan.
However, Ivana insisted that she didn’t have any relationship with the politician who also owned Brightlight Productions.
“HINDI PO AKO ANG NASASABING girlfriend ni Mayor Albee Benitez. I met him when I had work in Bacolod. He was very accommodating and friendly,” she said.
After she released the said statement, Mayor Javi posted a three-laughing emoji.
Netizens quickly speculated that Javi was taking a swipe at Ivana’s statement.
Last week, Mayor Javi expressed his support for his mother, Nikki Benitez, amid the rumored separation between his parents.
“We’re as shocked as everyone because this wasn’t spoken about in private, but mom I want you to know that I thank you and love you for all that you have done for our family. We know how much you have sacrificed for me and Bettina. I am eternally grateful,” he wrote.
