TVJ Productions, may post matapos ang desisyon na alisin sa TAPE Inc. ang trademark ng Eat Bulaga

TVJ Productions released several posts amid the victory gained by their company against Television and Production Exponents (TAPE) Inc.

It can be recalled that TAPE Inc. lost its trademark rights over Eat Bulaga branding after the Intellectual Property Office (IPOPHL) found that the Jalosjos-owned company couldn’t explain how it should own the title of the longest-running noontime show.

On X, the production company owned by Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon posted a tweet to their fans after the decision was released.

“14344 DABARKADS!!!” the production company posted.

“Salamat sa mga Dabarkads na nakisaya sa amin ngayong Tuesday! Totoo nga na Happy Tuesday #LegitDabarkads. See you tomorrow!” they added.

Netizens expected that TVJ would release a public statement tomorrow about their next steps to finally gain the full rights to use the Eat Bulaga title.

The decision of IPOPHL only covered the use of Eat Bulaga in merchandise and print materials and not the use of the title on television.

However, some experts believed that the victory gained by TVJ would also give them an advantage to win the copyright infringement case they filed against TAPE Inc. to finally stop the production company from using the Eat Bulaga title.
