Relatives of Catherine Camilon couldn’t hide their sadness after the authorities found that the DNA samples they took inside an abandoned car matched the missing beauty queen’s family.
Camilon’s sister, Chin-chin, was heartbroken after being informed about the news.
However, she was still hoping that her sister was safe.
“Always hope for the best. Kahit ano pang sitwasyon mo ngayon, wag ka sanang mawawalan ng pag-asa. Malalampasan mo rin lahat ng pagsubok. Magpatuloy ka lang, lakasan mo pa loob mo. God is with us, makakaya natin to.” the quote she posted indicated.
It can be recalled that the said abandoned vehicle matched the description of the witnesses who claimed to have seen the unconscious beauty queen while being held captive by several men.
“Malaking maitutulong ito dahil kung matatandaan niyo may lumutang na dalawang witness na nagsasabi na may tatlo silang kalalakihan na nakita na may inililipat na isang duguang babae mula sa isang Nissan Juke papunta sa red CRV,” an official of PNP said.
“Ito pong positive match doon sa DNA profile sa magulang ng nawawalang biktima ay isa lang, ibig sabihin nun na ‘yung ating biktima ay sumakay or at least naisakay or present siya doon, nagpapatunay na nandoon siya, naisakay siya doon sa recovered CRV,” she added.
