The authorities admitted that they were already unsure if the missing Miss Grand Philippines contestant, Catherine Camilon, was still alive.
In an interview, CIDG director PMGen. Romeo Caramat, Jr, said that they’re not really sure about the current state of Camilon after witnesses revealed that the beauty queen was seen being held by four men while already in bad condition.
“Hindi natin sinasabing ‘yung beauty queen natin ay patay na o buhay pa dahil sa ngayon hindi pa natin nakikita ang kaniyang body. Mayroon po tayong kasabihan na “no corpus delicti, no crime.” – Hindi ko po sinasabing patay na ito. Hopefully ay buhay pa. – Naghahanap pa ng ibang matibay na ebidensya,” he said.
It can be recalled that two witnesses saw Catherine being transferred to another vehicle with four men.
Camilon was last seen last October 12 while driving her car.
Meanwhile, authorities were still investigating the police officer who allegedly had a relationship with Catherine.
The authorities were currently looking at a love angle for the possible motive of Catherine’s disappearance.
The relatives of Camilon were also offering a P250,000 reward for anyone who could give information about the beauty queen.
