MTRCB chair Lala Sotto insists that E.A.T should not be investigated: “Di po sila deserving for a notice to appear”

Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) Chairperson Lala Sotto insisted that there’s no reason for their agency to summon E.A.T producers after her father Tito Sotto caressed his wife Helen Gamboa on national television during the 44th- anniversary episode of their show.

In an interview with veteran columnist Cristy Fermin, Lala said that E.A.T. didn’t deserve to reserve a summon from MTRCB as she believed that her parents were just expressing love to each other.

According to her, what happened in the said episode of E.A.T was just a normal occurrence in their household.

They have been married for 55 years now,” said Lala.

She believed that his father was just being called out because of their decision to summon It’s Showtime producers.

“Wala pong dahilan para ipatawag ang E.A.T. dahil ‘di po sila deserving for a notice to appear.”

It can be recalled that Rendon Labador called the attention of Lala, challenging the agency’s head to choose her duty over the family by investigating her own father.

However, Lala said that there must be enough information for them to launch an investigation.

We act on complaints but we need complete information.” she explained.
