Eat Bulaga host Buboy Villar received criticisms on social media and was accused of being disrespectful after he withdrew his microphone from an old woman who thanked Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon during the ‘G sa Gedli’ segment.
On July 29, Buboy, with his co-host Isko Moreno, was distributing prizes at an LRT station when the old woman thanked the legendary trio for the prize she received.
“Salamat po Tito, Vic and Joey,” the old woman said.
Netizens couldn’t hide their disappointment in Buboy, saying that the old woman may not be aware of the issue surrounding Eat Bulaga and TVJ.
“Buboy, hindi mo dapat ginawa yon, na alisin mo yung mike sa matanda! You should have explained to her na iba na ang mga hosts dyan sa Eat Bulaga ng Channel 7. Good manners lang naman ang kailangan mo and respeto!!!” netizen Susana said.
“Pwedeng nmn siguro paki usapan. Yung Lola in Proper way, Hindi Yung Bastusin Siya in Public televised,” netizen Alexander commented.
“Nag comedy ka na lang sana pero wag alisan ng mic. Parang sina Jose noong si Willie ang pinasalmatan nung nanalo sa sugod bahay. Sinakyan na lang nila yung pagkakamali. Natuwa lalo audience. Sabagay bagito pa ang mga ito sa hosting. Hehehe,” netizen Ricardo remarked.
